OTHER BIRDS

I have attempted to catch the birds character so look hard at the facial expressions, at the body language and what the bird is thinking. I can take 1000 shots to get 15 with the right expressions that I think are worthy to view, I have taken over 150,000 shots to bring you what you see here. Remember the eyes, they say a lot! I will be adding hopefully weekly so keep coming back to see the updates.

OSPREYS: These magnificent birds of prey are under threat, I will say no more, so take a journey and see how lucky we are in Mandurah, for the rest of the World be envious of us and help fight to save our Ospreys.

SPOONBILLS: The study on Spoonbills is my favorite, I had only seen shots of birds in the water feeding, I have tried to show you there unique side, these birds do calisthenics, they will swing there heads around and let out a sound  (I think to let the others know they are no longer keeping watch)  they then stretch out a leg a wing, then both ,they put their head down tail up and stretch, they then almost smile! They get this look of contentment and then they a have scratch,  preen  themselves and settle down for a one legged nap.

BIRDS OF THE MANDURAH WET LANDS:  The Bird photos you will see on these pages are taken in the Mandurah  wet lands area. We are so blessed to have the variety and ease of access to these fantastic Birds, Our Wetlands are decreasing in size and so are our bird populations, let us be good custodians and leave our future generations a good environment to live in.

OTHER BIRDS: These are all the other birds I encounter, some I am still trying to find the names of but they are all beautiful in there  own way.

So again Thank You and enjoy.      David Rennie    If it Moves I'll Shoot it "With a Canon"
